The project aims to analyze firm aggregations and agglomeration forms, in order to verify to what extent they can represent tools for the size growth and structural strengthening of SMEs, a necessary basis for increasing their competitiveness and for the protection and development of the local and national entrepreneurial context. This analysis will also provide insights on how to address the serious difficulties produced by the current health emergency and the search for a sustainable economic and social balance.
By aggregation operations are meant in a broad sense M&A (mergers and acquisitions),business groups, networks of companies, etc..
In particular, the objective is to identify the factors that can determine the type of operation suitable for each company, sector or geographical area and assess what may be the obstacles most encountered in such operations in order to define a series of possible solutions that may favor them.
The project is carried out in partnership with Altovalore.
