Description
Technology transfer has become a fundamental aspect of university activity (so called third mission) and plays a key role for the innovative activity of firms.
University technology transfer refers to three main areas: univeristy-industry relations; academic entrepreneurhsip and spin-offs; patenting.
The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has been working on all these areas and specifically on academic entrepreneurship and spin-offs. The CII is also involved in projects aimed at strenghtening the ability of universities to fulfill the 'third mission' and on the efficacy of university-firms relations.
Here below are some of these projects.
- Database of Italian university spin-off (www.spinoffitalia.it), in collaboration with NetVal (the Italian University Association for Technology Transfer) and the Institute of Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna (Pisa).
- Contamination Lab Univpm (http://clab.univpm.it/). It is a permanent lab for enhancing the entrepreneurial attitudes and competences of students.
