eLead - enhancing VET professionals skills for eleadership education and training

The eLead project is aimed at providing educational material for vocational education and training (VET) professionals involved in training processes for employees and managers in hightech/digital sectors. The goal is to implement and promote training paths for the acquisition of eleadership skills.

Digital transformation opens new opportunities for firms to develop innovative products and services, improve processes and become more efficient. It has also creating unique marketplace challenges and opportunities. Enterprises and in particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have often not realised the importance of the digital transformation for their businesses also because of the organizational challenges in implementing the new technologies. Several studies demonstrated that organizational rigidities and the lack of adequate skills and motivation are the main obstacles for firms to fully exploit the opportunities provided by the digital transformation.

For European enterprises to compete, grow and create jobs, it is essential that they thay can rely on a pool of people who are able to lead the digital transformation. This is the aim of the eLead project whose main tangible results will be the following:

1)  eLead Competence Map: this is a description of the High-tech Leader professional profile in terms of units of learning outcomes using the ECVET and EQF standards.

2) eLead Pedagogic Handbook: it is dedicated to VET professionals and includes resources (included training modules, methodologies and tools) to support the implementation of a training course for high-tech leaders

3) eLead MOOC: an online training course for High Tech Leaders that will be delivered as a MOOC through an interactive platform and could be used online or in blended learning environments.

The primary target group of the project includes consultants, VET trainers, in-company trainers, and trainers working with SME’s, start-ups, incubators and accelerators .

The project is developed by a partenership of 7 organizations: Assindustria Consulting, Co.Meta srl, Università Politecnica delle Marche, Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, Parque Tecnologico de Andalucia, Technology University of Delft and Institute for Entrepreneurship development.
